Basics of Pistol Shooting
Florida Concealed Weapon Permit Qualifying Course
Includes Required Live-Fire Component
If you are applying for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License, state law requires proof of firearms competency — including live fire observed by a qualified instructor.
This course satisfies that requirement.
You will complete classroom instruction first, followed by a scheduled live-fire session at the range to fulfill Florida’s training standards. The live-fire session will be scheduled one on one at the training.

This is the official NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course taught by NRA-certified instructors. It is designed for new gun owners, first-time concealed carry applicants, and anyone who wants structured, professional firearms training.
