RFTC Outdoor Range Drills

America/New_York
Add to calendar:

This is a private training session for members of the Chabad of Coral Springs security team. We have a 4-hour range block at Okeechobee Shooting Sports with steel targets, and we'll be running structured drills focused on movement, multiple targets, and shooting from cover.

The drills are designed to build on critical skills we need to defend the Shul and work together as a team. We have about 3 hours of drills planned, depending on how quickly we get through it.

What we're running

  • Window evaluation — we have an impact-rated window to shoot through and see how it performs
  • Retention shooting and Mozambique drill (the Collateral sequence)
  • 1-2-3-4-5 drill on steel — target transitions and shot economy
  • Near/far engagement — paper at 5 yards, steel at 10 and 15
  • Cover work — slicing the pie, support-side barricades, and moving to cover
  • Integrated scenario run combining everything

You can review the full drill outline on Google Docs.

Cost: $65/person, which covers the range rental and steel target fees for the group. Bring your own ammo — plan for 200-400 rounds.

Spots: Limited to 8 shooters. Register to hold your spot.

Location: Okeechobee Shooting Sports, Private Range #7
